George Kitching is a North Yorkshire artist who has painted all his life, from Lakeland bridges and Yorkshire villages to the elephants and leopards of Africa. He is a member of the International Guild of Artists and the York Art Society, has exhibited around the country and takes commissions, including portraits of much-loved pets.
Laid out like a gallery
The paintings hang in four rooms: Landscapes, African Wildlife, Wildlife and Pets. A dark, quiet background lets the colour of each canvas do the work. Every painting has its own page with its medium, size, price and a short description, so a buyer can enquire about the exact piece they have fallen for.
Run by the family
The site is run day to day by George's wife Pauline. Behind it is a simple admin area where she adds new paintings, updates prices and takes sold work down herself, with photos resized automatically for fast loading on any device.
